Mondays, 6:30pm, starting 3/16/26

This advanced sketch comedy class is designed for experienced writers and performers ready to sharpen their material and elevate their comedic voice. Students will focus on punching up sketches for stronger jokes, clearer premises, and heightened game, while developing the editorial discipline to cut, refine, and restructure their work. Emphasis is placed on collaborative group writing, with structured writers’ room exercises that build skills in pitching, rewriting, and giving productive feedback. The course culminates in curating and assembling a cohesive live show, guiding students through selection, sequencing, and performance-ready polish.

Classes will meet in Studio A at The Valentine Theater on Monday evenings from 6:30p-9p. The session runs from Monday, March 16th to Monday, May 4th. The class showcase will be the weekend of May 9th in Studio A .
