Mondays, 6:30pm, starting 9/14/26

This advanced sketch comedy class is designed for experienced writers and performers ready to sharpen their material and elevate their comedic voice. Students will focus on punching up sketches for stronger jokes, clearer premises, and heightened game, while developing the editorial discipline to cut, refine, and restructure their work. Emphasis is placed on collaborative group writing, with structured writers’ room exercises that build skills in pitching, rewriting, and giving productive feedback. The course culminates in curating and assembling a cohesive live show, guiding students through selection, sequencing, and performance-ready polish.

Classes will meet in Studio A at The Valentine Theatre on Monday evenings from 6:30p-9p. The session runs from Monday, Sept 14th to Monday, Nov 2nd.

The class showcase will be Saturday, Nov 7th at 7pm
